The Lord's Prayer -

Matthew 6:7-13
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

A Photo-Shoot of Me!

I had Eric take some pictures of me… I haven’t posted pictures of me in a long time. So, here I am! haha. Enjoy! (Oh and I warn you - I am very pale!)

Me (I really like this one of me)

Up in Little Maple

Standing by the Little Maple’s trunk

Me on the Stone Steps (the Hen wanted to be in it too.)

The sun came out right as this was taken

A little crooked, but I like this one of me :D

I found a small bunch of Queen Ann’s Lace, and had to pick one! Last ones of the season

And last of all, me with Belladonna and her kid, Broken Arrow (Bell and Bow)

Well I hope you enjoyed seeing some pictures of me. I hope to be posting more pictures here soon. :)

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

A Meal Made By Me, and a Bountiful Harvest from Our Over-Weeded Garden!
Friday, August 17, 2007

Posted in About Me

I think I shall start by telling you about the dinner I cooked yesterday, after I went to the dentist. I made a delicious meal of chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans with onions and bacon for flavor, peas, and to top it off, a gravy. I was very good, I must say. It took about an hour and a half to make, but I did it, and no one was hungry afterwards, except the Littles who wanted grapes. They weren't really hungry, they just wanted some!

Ok... about our over-weeded garden... we have been getting plenty of peppers to last years, (not really), and zucchini. We got a few tomatoes too, and lots of green beans. Eric and Hannah picked some 8inch long okra yesterday.

We got a 14 1/2inch long x 12inch round zucchini from our garden two weeks ago. I didn't know zucchini could get that long! It was the biggest I ever saw! We have been getting bigger and bigger zucchini each year...

Peppers... hmmm... we have a ton of banana peppers! The biggest ones are about 1-2 inches round, and about 5inches long. Those are some big peppers, I know. Mom wants to make pepperonchini with them, and can whatever else with them. I think that is what I will be doing for the next two or three weeks. I'll post about the experience. I hope all goes well, better than Jocelyn's first attempt to make goat-milk cheese!

I know this is short, but that's ok. If you want to read a longer post, go to my Homeschool blog, The Milk and Honey Tea-House, I posted about my dental appointments there.

Ok... I should link people, since this post is so short! Here's some: Mom's, Seeking Rest in the Homestead, Amanda's, My Learning Experience, Jocelyn's, Amusing Reflections of a Country Girl. My younger brother, Eric, has a blog over at Homeschoolblogger.com, but not here. Here is his link: On the Road to Manhood.

Alright, I think that's enough! Enjoy the rest of the day, my friends! May GOD BLESS and PROTECT YOU and YOURS!

My Day Yesterday, with a Trip to the Dentist to go Along with it!
Friday, August 10, 2007

Posted in About Me

Yesterday was a long day. Dad woke us up at 6:40am. It was raining when we got up. The sky was overcast and gray. I really felt like staying in bed. Mom and Dad have wanted everyone to get up early, and since we stayed up late the night before, Amanda, Jocelyn and I were tired. Jocelyn didn't get up with us. Dad left around 6:50am to go to work. Amanda laid down on the couch, and I put a pot of coffee on.

Then Eric went down to the barn and filled the chicks' food and water. Amanda laid on the couch for two hours. Mom got up and went down to the barn after Eric told her that the top stall door for the chicks' stall broke off. The hinge was old, and so it just came off. Luckily, it had stopped raining, and there wasn't any wind. So they went down and looked at it. They were down there for about an hour, then Jocelyn got up. She went down and fed the goats, got them milked and came back up. Amanda had gone down when she did to feed the horses.

While they were down in the barn, I made fried potatoes for breakfast. We didn't have any eggs, so that was our breakfast. I had a bowl of yogurt too. After the potatoes were done, Queen LucyLillie woke up, and I had to hold her until Mom came up from the barn.

Mom wanted to lay down because she had gone to bed so late. I had to hold Queen LucyLillie up in the attic room while Mom slept. Queen LucyLillie got fussy, so I  had to give her to Mom. She laid down with Mom, and I went to my room to read. I read Archimedes and the Door of Science. Then I couldn't keep my eyes open, and so I fell asleep.

I woke up at around 2:00pm. Well, not really. Eric and Hannah kept coming in and asking me to do things, so I didn't get a lot of rest. Then when I did get up, Hannah had her tea set out and wanted me to play with her. I went to the bathroom and brushed my hair. I got a pickle and cut it up. Then Hannah got some tea, and we went upstairs. We had a wonderful time of eating pickles and drinking plain tea from these little teacups. We were then called downstairs, and Amanda gave Queen LucyLillie to me, and I played with.

Dad got home around 2:45, and I had to get ready to go to the dentist. My appointment was at 3:20 and we made it in time. I got my teeth cleaned, and Jocelyn got her cavities taken care of. I have to go back two more time to get mine done. I guess you guessed I have a lot of cavities? I do...sadly... I have, uh, several! I know, I know, just don't want you to break your jaw while it drops to the floor! Then you'll have to go to the dentist! JK.

My appointments are on the 16th of this month, and then my next appointment is on the 21st of February. So I have to go in six days, and another time to be scheduled. Then in six months to get my teeth cleaned again. But Dad may change the appointments, since he tries to schedule them when he's off. So be praying that I won't have to go any more times after those two appointments.

And then the usual... staying up until 2am with Jocelyn while Mom and Amanda went to town to upload some things for school. Then Dad got me up at 6:40am again this morning, but I fell asleep on the couch while Eric was in the shower. I was going to take one, but he got it first!

Thanks for reading this long post! I hope you enjoyed reading about my life!
